Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am 67 y.o. female just diagnosed with complicated migraines. I have had severe headaches for several years but assumed they were sinus headaches. Excedrin usually helped, but not for last few months. Last weekend I developed a severe headache within 15 min. of awakening, and within an hour developed partial numbness on left side in face, arm and leg. Later went to ER on advice of friend since I had no previous numbness and wanted to rule out TIA. Admitted to hospital, discharged last night with Rx for Inderal LA 60. Still have headache and numbness. Last night HA got worse and got little sleep. I am looking for headache specialist in Birmingham, AL preferably with the UAB Hospital network.
